Goodwill NYNJ Institutes the Gerald Johnson Scholarship Fund

Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc. has established the Gerald Johnson Scholarship Fund for students who exhibit a commitment to community service and actively participate and contribute to the betterment of their community. As a Goodwill NYNJ employee, Gerald Johnson dedicated forty-two years of his career to develop young community leaders.

Goodwill NYNJ Asks NYC Council to Expand Jobs-Plus to All NYCHA Developments

Last week, Goodwill NYNJ staff testified in front of the New York City Council to support the bill introduced by Council member Richie Torres to expand Jobs-Plus programs to all housing developments operated by the New York City Housing Authority.

Currently, Goodwill NYNJ operates a Jobs-Plus at The Bronx to offer job training and employment support for residents of the Clason Point, Sack Wern and Monroe NYC NYCHA developments.

The Monroe Community Center is located at 1776 Story Avenue, Bronx, NY 10473.


On June 23th, Goodwill NYNJ held a screening to premier 2ND LIFE, a 7-minute film that offers a glimpse into the experience of an immigrant who moves with his family to America family in search of the American Dream.
