Goodwill® Industries of Greater NY and Northern NJ and TaskRabbit announced a partnership to make it easier for people to donate new and pre-owned items effective Sep. 20, 2019.
Goodwill NYNJ has supported employment opportunities for people with disabilities since its founding in Brooklyn in 1915. Our founders trained these individuals to mend the clothing and household goods they collected from wealthy New Yorkers. These goods were later sold, providing a wage for individuals with disabilities.
On June 26, we held an event to celebrate the culmination of the 2-week donation drive that ten WeWork New York City locations held to collect clothing and shoes to benefit Goodwill NYNJ.
