Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey serves the ten northern counties of Garden State:  Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren.

We believe the only pre-requisite for a job is the desire to work.  Goodwill collaborates with public and private institutions in New Jersey to increase opportunities for individuals and meet the needs of employers. Through rehabilitation services that assist people with physical, developmental, and mental disabilities our clients can begin the journey from welfare to work.

Other programs offer job training, placement and retention services for adults with barriers to employment such as visual or hearing impairments.  This provides jobs while cultivating work environments that value an individual’s strengths and unique perspective.

The Goodwill service model also recognizes the importance of “soft skills” to ensure our clients understand the basics of conflict resolution, timely task completion, and personal communication.  These programs ensure that those we serve get quality employment and excel to their maximum potential.  We partner with private organizations and local governments on projects like these to positively impact our communities.
