For nearly 100 years, Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc. has been focused on helping people with disabilities and other barriers to employment find meaningful work opportunities so that they can achieve their full potential and participate in all aspects of a productive life. For employers, we are focused on connecting employers with a reliable, steady stream of qualified, productive employees who are ready to work.

Goodwill employment programs provide vocational, work experience, job placement, readiness training and workforce re-entry support. We assist thousands in finding work every year despite any barriers that might prevent them from finding meaningful employment, such as lack of experience, language barriers, disabilities and not knowing what is expected in the workplace.

Known for our success in helping persons with disabilities find jobs, our services also empower new immigrants, unskilled and mature workers, U.S. veterans, ex-offenders, and underserved youth to gain employment. We also offer special programs that focus on helping people who are on public assistance find work. In fact, every 16 minutes of every business day, staff from our 70 programs at approximately 30 sites help another person earn a good job.
