Community Services
Community Services Are Provided By
Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey’s mission to empower individuals results in the building of sustainable communities and strengthened neighborhoods. We partner with public and private organizations to improve education, to offer afterschool programs for youth and to create work opportunities for unemployed individuals and persons with disabilities and disadvantages.
Our community, educational and development programs impact people from all walks of life. Goodwill, in cooperation with the New York City Department of Education, offers services at local schools that include social and education programs that benefit youth, adult and senior populations. We collaborate with local mental health professionals who provide treatment to underserved populations for depression and other mental health issues. Goodwill also coordinates with local police departments to address local issues, be more responsive to crime and to bring essential services into neighborhoods.
