We at Goodwill Industries hope the lives of those individuals and families most impacted by the October storms have received relief.
Goodwill continues to offer assistance to individuals or families affected by Hurricane Sandy. You may go to any Goodwill store (for sites go to our store locator) and shop for $50 worth of free clothing and household goods per each family member. You only need to present documentation from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Red Cross or your insurance company.
We also want to thank the many donors and volunteers who have supported our hurricane relief efforts.
More than 20 non-profit organizations including Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc. are hosting a Post Sandy Job Fair as part of a noble effort to help people find work after the destruction-packed hurricane.
The “Post Sandy Job Fair” will be held on Tuesday, May 14, from 9 – 3 p.m. at Resorts World, 110-00 Rockaway Blvd., Jamaica NY 11420.
On Tuesday, February 12, Goodwill NY-NJ will host Robin Wallace, founder and creative director of ThriftyVintageChic.com, from 6 to 8 p.m. Ms. Wallace will share ideas on how to personalize your Valentines this year.
