Long Island Goodwill Store in Patchogue Closes

The Goodwill store located in Patchogue, NY at 479 East Main Street, 11772 in Long Island’s Suffolk County, permanently closed on Thursday, March 21. Goodwill removed all collection bins from the premises the last week of March.

Goodwill’s Beyond Jobs programs Moves to Jamaica, Queens

Effective immediately, recently inaugurated Goodwill program Beyond Jobs will relocate to 92-31 Union Hall Street 4th Floor in Jamaica, Queens 11433.

 

Beyond Jobs program supports New York City single mothers 18 years or older in navigating their individual career path. The Goodwill program provides a holistic integration of career services with family and financial strengthening services.

Ask Your NYS Legislators to Stop Cuts to Programs for People with Developmental Disabilities

New York State legislators propose a reduction of 6% from the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Medicaid funding.

 

This cut, if not avoided, will affect the quality of life of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, individuals who are most in need of important supports and services by agencies that employ over 75,000 direct support professionals throughout the state.

79th St. Store Re-opens Thursday, 3/21

After being closed for renovations for the past month, Goodwill’s 79th Street store will re-open on Thursday, March 21, just in time to welcome spring. The Upper West Side Goodwill store is located at 217 West 79th Street, NY NY 10024.

 

Hours remain 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.

Get Crafty On Valentine’s Day at the East Harlem Store

On Tuesday, February 12, Goodwill NY-NJ will host Robin Wallace, founder and creative director of ThriftyVintageChic.com, from 6 to 8 p.m. Ms. Wallace will share ideas on how to personalize your Valentines this year.

 

Forget about the cards, the flowers and the chocolate. You can have those too, but get personal and show how much you care and love your valentine. And the best part? first 10 customers to show up will get a free plate to design their Valentine.
