Dear Friend of Goodwill:

I am writing to you today about the catastrophic events in Haiti. The city Port-au-Prince was devastated by the worst earthquake in 200 years which has left thousands homeless.
It is estimated the death toll from the 7.0-magnitude quake may surpass a hundred thousand.

Following such tragedies as 911, Katrina and the Tsunami in Thailand, Goodwill Industries of Greater NY and Northern NJ has stepped up to assist those in need.

I ask each of you to join with me in sending financial support to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
